New Hampshire Democrats Continue Statewide Costly Kelly is Screwing You Tour in Exeter and Manchester

Exeter:
Water Street Bookstore owner Dan Chartrand: “As I expect with all leaders, no matter their party, I expect her to be an advocate for the people they represent — to make the case for New Hampshire businesses, to push back when federal policies are hurting our communities, and to work with leaders who want to make it easier for our businesses to succeed. I want a Governor in the corner office who isn’t afraid to tell Donald Trump when his policies are hurting New Hampshire.”

Union Ironworker Matt Glavin: “I find it incredibly frustrating that when our workers and our businesses need a leader in their corner, our governor is nowhere to be found. Kelly Ayotte should be standing up for New Hampshire businesses when federal policies threaten their ability to operate and grow. She should be making it clear that the interests of hardworking Granite Staters matter more than political loyalty to Donald Trump. But that has been far from the case.”

Portsmouth City Councilor Kate Cook: “The “New Hampshire Advantage” that Governor Ayotte likes to talk about is being eroded table by table and room by room right here on the Seacoast [...] Kelly Ayotte is standing on the sidelines while our regional partners push back. How much longer is she willing to leave New Hampshire’s small businesses, workers, and cross-border economy to absorb the fallout of Trump’s trade wars?”

Manchester:
State Senator Pat Long:
“It’s convenient that all this time, Kelly Ayotte hasn’t had a word about what she’s going to do for the families in this state who are getting hit hardest. When Ayotte was a U.S. senator, she had plenty to say about Iran. She repeatedly opposed diplomatic efforts with Iran.”

State Representative Patty Cornell: “Let me be clear: Kelly Ayotte and New Hampshire Republicans are focused on funneling millions in taxpayer dollars into their overbudget, unaccountable private school voucher scheme. That is far from tax relief; it’s a scam that raises Granite Staters’ taxes to bankroll private schools for wealthy families.”

Candidate for State Representative Lucas Coriaty: “For young people like myself, paying for sky-high grocery costs, rising utility bills, and even student loans means we can’t afford another crushing rent bill. This is a crisis our state’s leaders should be working to solve. Instead, Kelly Ayotte has actively made it more difficult to find an affordable place to live. Kelly Ayotte cut millions in funding for affordable housing initiatives at the exact moment Granite Staters are begging for relief.”
